Getting ready

Getting ready today for a BlogTalkRadio on Women In Menopause....and Organization. An expert organizer will discuss how the task of "organizing" can make life much more manageable when one is experiencing the ebb and flow of hormones associated with menopause.......overwhelm, anxiety, fear, sleeplessness and depression can accompany the "overwhelm." Elizabeth offers helpful hints and ideas!!!

Then....readying to teach at my very first herbal conference!!! Exciting!!! I hope to expand this to include more conferences next year.....as well as increasing the class schedule here at the "SinglewideInTheCity," the big city of Cosby, that is. Where.......we will soon have a FoodCity right next door.....an I excited. Maybe, we'll see what they bring to the neighborhood.

Passing of an old friend

My old man, DudeWanda, 21 years old, passed on at 10AM this morning. Very interesting transition......sitting with a dying cat while a seven year old bounced around the house. I was making tea, washing clothes, finding a snack, checking in on the cat, running a bath, answering a million questions about all of the above.......realizing how incredible the power of a 50 something woman is......could I have done this when I was 20................settling into the fall of my life. And today, have given me a wonderful and powerful lesson.

Monday.......last day of August

My birthday is officially over today......I like to celebrate all month.
Harvesting comfrey and off to the office to write an article on Yarrow....my new favorite herb. So extremely helpful to women who are having fibroid issues. I am one of them. Who would have thought I'd have to deal with this. Nothing like a little first hand experience I always say!!! Now I understand more clearly what many of my customers are going through.
