Passing of an old friend

My old man, DudeWanda, 21 years old, passed on at 10AM this morning. Very interesting transition......sitting with a dying cat while a seven year old bounced around the house. I was making tea, washing clothes, finding a snack, checking in on the cat, running a bath, answering a million questions about all of the above.......realizing how incredible the power of a 50 something woman is......could I have done this when I was 20................settling into the fall of my life. And today, have given me a wonderful and powerful lesson.

Monday.......last day of August

My birthday is officially over today......I like to celebrate all month.
Harvesting comfrey and off to the office to write an article on Yarrow....my new favorite herb. So extremely helpful to women who are having fibroid issues. I am one of them. Who would have thought I'd have to deal with this. Nothing like a little first hand experience I always say!!! Now I understand more clearly what many of my customers are going through.

Weekend approaches

I am hoping that it really will be a week end. Very busy week, lots accomplished. I need, however, a break from my techno world. Let's see if my garden can give it to me.

though I was tired

the blogTalkRadio went really well. Looking forward to launching into a weekly format. I imagine it will take a few weeks to get the kinks worked out.....but it is coming. Video's next.

Found the mildew smell this AM. Something no one should really have to breath so I will spend the day with "mildew elimination."

as well as harvesting and drying comfrey. Noticing that by next year at this time, we'll have enough calendula to suffice MoonMaid. Most satisfying. I am so glad to have a sunny garden now at the "Singlewide in the City," the big city of Cosby, Tennessee that is
